Jaecoo Accelerates Distribution of 10,000 J5 EV Units Before Eid 2026
Jakarta — Jaecoo Indonesia is accelerating the distribution of its J5 EV electric SUV following strong consumer demand in the domestic market. To date, approximately 7,000 units have been delivered to consumers.
The handover was marked through a symbolic ceremony in an event titled ‘A Milestone of Trust’, held as a gathering between Jaecoo and vehicle owners in Indonesia, in Jakarta, Sunday (8 March 2026).
“Our primary focus at present is ensuring every unit reaches consumers as quickly as possible, with a target of achieving 10,000 units distributed before Eid al-Fitr 2026,” said Business Unit Director of Jaecoo Indonesia, Jim Ma.
Head of Product Jaecoo Indonesia, Ryan Ferdiean Tirto, stated that total orders for the J5 EV have currently reached approximately 15,000 units.
According to him, at the initial stage of vehicle production launch, output was not particularly large, causing waiting times for some consumers.
“Indeed at the start, in December 2025 and January 2026, our production volume was not at these levels. However, currently in February 2026, we have reported sales of nearly 3,000 units in a single month,” said Ryan.
He added that Jaecoo targets the delivery of up to 10,000 units of vehicles to be achieved in March 2026.
“So we hope this long waiting list will be completed in March 2026 with 10,000 units. Previously we have delivered approximately 7,000 units,” said Ryan.
The vehicle is claimed to be capable of covering a distance of up to 461 kilometres on a single charge based on NEDC standards.
This electric SUV also supports DC fast charging of up to 130 kW, and is equipped with various safety features such as 17 ADAS features, six airbags, a 540-degree camera, and a body structure with high-strength steel.
