JAC Motors Showcases Three Flagship Electric Vehicles at GIICOMVEC 2026

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Chinese automotive company JAC Motors showcased three of its flagship electric vehicles at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle Expo (GIICOMVEC) 2026, held at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, from 8 to 11 April. The company, which entered the Indonesian market on 19 August 2025 through a partnership with Indomobil Group, displayed the JAC Trekker T9 EV, JAC UrbanMover N90 EV, and JAC MetroMover N35 at the GIICOMVEC 2026 event. Technical After Sales Division Head of JAC Motors Indonesia, Edo Putro, stated at the GIICOMVEC 2026 on Thursday that the N90 EV and N35 are focused on supporting logistics operations. “Meanwhile, the T9 is targeted at plantations and mining,” he said. Chief Operating Officer of Indomobil JAC, Reggie Kurnia, remarked that the JAC Trekker T9 EV, JAC UrbanMover N90 EV, and JAC MetroMover N35 are efficient and sustainable electric commercial vehicles. “We aim to provide new options for consumers to enjoy commercial electric vehicles with more affordable operations and greater environmental friendliness,” he said. Edo noted that the JAC Trekker T9 EV offers efficiency and robustness to tackle road conditions in Indonesia. This environmentally friendly double cabin (dcab) 4x4 vehicle uses a dual motor 4x4 system with various driving modes. It is equipped with an 88.02 kWh battery providing a range of 344.5 km and supported by V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, allowing users to power work equipment and other devices. The vehicle’s safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and an Auto Hold braking system. The JAC UrbanMover N90 EV, with its large load capacity and modern features, is designed for companies needing efficient and eco-friendly fleets for distribution or cargo delivery. This 9-tonne gross vehicle weight vehicle is fitted with a 106.95 kWh battery capable of covering 250 km. The Electric Power Take-Off (e-PTO) support on this vehicle provides flexibility for cross-industry use. The UrbanMover N90’s safety features include ESC, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and an Air Brake System. The JAC MetroMover N35 electric pickup is designed for logistics businesses and other urban operations. This 3.5-tonne gross vehicle weight pickup has a cabin measuring 3,350 mm, the longest in its class. The JAC MetroMover N35 comes with two battery options. The C5 model uses a 49.45 kWh battery with a range of 230 km. The C6 model is equipped with a 63.75 kWh battery offering a range of 297 km. This electric pickup also features e-PTO as well as safety systems including ESC, HSA, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and parking sensors.
