Jabodetabek Samsat Services Closed Today 15 May, BPKB and SIM Services Resume

Several motor vehicle administration services in the Jabodetabek region are experiencing schedule adjustments during the national holiday and joint leave period for the Ascension of Jesus Christ 2026. Samsat services in DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten are closed from Thursday to Friday (14–15 May 2026), while BPKB and SIM services will resume operations starting Friday (15 May 2026). This information was conveyed by the Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya through its official TMC Polda Metro account (@TMCPoldaMetro), as part of public service arrangements during the national holiday and joint leave. The closure impacts all motor vehicle administration services, including STNK endorsements, vehicle tax payments, and other related services. For the resumption schedule: The closure covers all service units. Starting Friday (15 May 2026), all SIM services will reopen and operate normally. The police have also set special provisions for SIM holders whose validity expires on 14 May 2026. Owners can still renew from 15–18 May 2026 using the applicable renewal mechanism. However, BPKB services will reopen and operate normally starting Friday (15 May 2026). The police advise the public to adjust their vehicle administration schedules during the national holiday and joint leave period, considering the differing operational schedules for Samsat, SIM, and BPKB in the Jabodetabek region. This adjustment is made to support the smooth running of public services while aligning with the 2026 Ascension of Jesus Christ national holiday calendar.
