Jabodebek LRT Strengthens Public Transportation Role at IWE 2026 Festival

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jabodebek LRT is strengthening the role of public transportation through its support for the 2026 IWE Festival to enhance community mobility and promote growing community activities in modern urban areas. “This festival, attended by approximately 12,000 participants, serves as a momentum to reinforce the role of public transportation in supporting community mobility during large-scale events,” said Radhitya Mardika, Manager of Public Relations for Jabodebek LRT, in a statement in Jakarta on Monday. The Jabodebek LRT is supporting the organisation of the Golden Swiftlet IWAKK (IWE) Festival 2026, held by the Induk Warga Asal Kabupaten Kebumen (IWAKK) Walet Emas. In the event, the Jabodebek LRT is present as a sponsor for the activities taking place in the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) area. This involvement demonstrates the Jabodebek LRT’s commitment to supporting various social and cultural activities of the community. Additionally, this participation also serves as a means of socialising the benefits of using public transportation as part of an efficient and sustainable urban lifestyle. “The company supports community social and cultural activities while providing socialisation regarding the benefits of public transportation as part of an efficient and sustainable urban lifestyle,” he stated. During the event, the Jabodebek LRT also presents an information service booth that educates visitors on travel routes, fares, operational schedules, and the ease of intermodal integration. The presence of the booth serves as a direct interaction platform with the community, particularly in enhancing understanding of public transportation use in urban areas. He emphasised that the company’s participation as a sponsor in the event is an effort to strengthen the role of the Jabodebek LRT not only as a mode of transportation but also as part of community social activities. “It is hoped that public transportation users will become increasingly relevant and the primary choice for various activities,” he added. In addition to providing interactive experiences, the Jabodebek LRT also educates visitors on the ease of access to the TMII area through an integrated transportation network. This includes connectivity with feeder services and other modes, such as KRL, airport trains, high-speed rail, TransJakarta, Jakarta MRT, and other feeder transportation. “Support for the 2026 IWE Festival also reaffirms the Jabodebek LRT’s role in supporting broader community mobility, including large-scale community events,” he said.
