PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) is presenting a special surprise for the public during the 2026 Eid transportation period. Specifically, a fare of Rp1 will be applied for the light rail transit (LRT) Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi (Jabodebek) across all routes and services on H+1 and H+2 of Eid 2026, in accordance with government regulations.

KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin stated that this policy is part of KAI’s commitment to providing increasingly accessible public transportation services during the Eid holiday period.

“Through the Rp1 fare policy for Jabodebek LRT, KAI aims to deliver a pleasant surprise while encouraging more people to utilise comfortable and integrated public transport,” Bobby said in an official statement on Thursday (19/3).

This special fare policy is expected to boost public interest in using Jabodebek LRT as a mobility option in urban areas, particularly during the Eid holiday period, which is characterised by high travel activity. To ensure the smooth implementation of this programme, KAI through Jabodebek LRT has prepared several anticipatory measures.

These preparations include optimising security, health, and service personnel at stations and on trains, managing passenger density at platforms, gates, and potential crowded areas, with special attention to priority customers. Additionally, KAI has prepared comprehensive ticketing system adjustments, from fare settings and gate readiness to sales channels.

To anticipate potential increases in user volume, KAI has also prepared additional operational measures, including the establishment of an Eid command post and the implementation of weekend operation patterns, ensuring services run optimally and passengers can travel safely and comfortably.

“This special fare policy is expected to add value for Jabodebek LRT customers during Eid while strengthening the role of public transport as an urban mobility solution,” Bobby concluded.
