Jabodebek LRT Brings Educational Experience to Commuters

Jakarta (ANTARA) – To mark the 98th Youth Pledge Day on Wednesday (28 October), Jabodebek LRT held an interactive quiz on Indonesian history at Dukuh Atas Bank Syariah Indonesia Station. The event, which ran from 9am to 11.30am local time, attracted around 20 Jabodebek LRT passengers.

Through questions about the nation’s struggle for independence and the Youth Pledge, passengers were invited to test their knowledge and recall the value of unity, an important part of Indonesia’s history. Jabodebek LRT also gave souvenirs to participants in appreciation of their involvement.

Radhitya Mardika, Jabodebek LRT’s public relations manager, said the activity was one of the company’s efforts to offer the public a more meaningful experience during their journeys.

“Public transport is part of everyday life for people from many different backgrounds. Through a simple activity such as this history quiz, Jabodebek LRT wants to foster positive interaction and encourage passengers to recall the spirit of unity passed down by Indonesia’s youth,” he said.

The diversity of Jabodebek LRT passengers, he added, serves as a reminder of the importance of respecting one another, maintaining order and showing consideration for others to ensure safe and comfortable journeys.

This year’s Youth Pledge Day theme is “Patriotic, Resilient, Empathetic: Youth for Indonesia”. These values can be put into practice through everyday actions, including respecting differences and helping to maintain a comfortable environment for everyone using public transport.

Through the activity, Jabodebek LRT aims to provide a passenger experience that not only meets mobility needs but also creates opportunities for positive interaction and educational activities. In this way, public transport can add value to people’s lives beyond taking them from one place to another.
