Jababeka's profit surges

JAKARTA (JP): PT Kawasan Industri Jababeka, a publicly listed industrial estate operator, reported an over 200 percent rise in its net profit to Rp 91.7 billion (US$41.68 million) in 1994, from Rp 30.9 billion in 1993.

The company stated yesterday that about 29 percent of the net earnings would be distributed to existing shareholders as dividends at Rp 85 (3.8 U.S. cents) per share.

The 1994 net earnings were five percent higher than the initial projection of about Rp 86.9 billion, it said, adding that it expected its net earnings to further increase to Rp 141.6 billion this year.(hen)
