J&T Express Releases ESG 2025 Report, Highlighting AI and Worker Protection
Through this report, J&T Express reiterates its commitment to integrating sustainability measures into its global logistics network while driving high-quality growth. Dylan Tey, Chief Financial Officer of J&T Express, emphasised that ESG is not merely a concept but has become an integral part of the company’s operations.
Over the past year, J&T Express has consistently advanced a transformation towards low-carbon transportation and strengthened governance of its new working model, including through the development of sustainable logistics solutions and industry-leading algorithm negotiation mechanisms.
‘Going forward, we will continue to optimise the use of technology and strengthen ESG governance and transparency to drive sustainable growth and create long-term value for all stakeholders,’ Dylan said in a written statement on Wednesday, 20 May 2026.
Advance Green Operations and Energy Efficiency
Throughout 2025, J&T Express implemented smart logistics and energy transformation by leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) and big data across its operational chain. This strategy positively impacts route optimisation, sorting efficiency, and strengthening last-mile service.
The company also expanded its global network by building 14 core logistics zones with a total area of 1.05 million square metres. Infrastructure was reinforced with the use of more than 150,000 permanent magnet synchronous motorised rollers and more than 400 energy-efficient conveyors.
Green packaging initiatives were expanded. A total of 38.27 million reusable transit bags have been used up to 3.33 billion times.
In the low-carbon transportation sector, J&T Express continues to push the use of greener and electrified fleets. In China, LNG trucks reached 1,697 units or 30% of the total fleet. The Philippines uses 100% biodiesel B5, while Singapore operates 6% electric trucks.
By the end of 2025, J&T Express had also operated more than 1,000 autonomous vehicles. In addition, J&T Express strengthened the use of rail and sea transport to improve efficiency.
Employee Protection and Talent Development
J&T Express reinforces its commitment to creating an inclusive and equitable workplace. In China, the implementation of the Platform Algorithm and Labour Rules Agreement 2025 marked a significant milestone, covering more than 290,000 workers. The agreement focuses on wage protection, career development, and algorithm transparency for workers in the digital economy era.
In talent development, the number of courses on the digital training platform increased by 60% during 2025, with total training hours rising by 2.8 times. More than 27,000 safety training sessions were conducted globally, reaching more than 1.4 million participants.
Social Responsibility and Supporting Community Development
J&T Express strengthens its social commitments through initiatives in empowerment, education, and post-disaster assistance. In Chongqing, China, the company for the first time used drones to support the collection and distribution of oranges in mountainous regions, with a cargo capacity of up to 10 tonnes per day, helping reduce labour costs for farmers. In Thailand, J&T Express also collaborated with the Department of Agricultural Extension to provide fresh fruit logistics services to improve distribution efficiency of agricultural products.
In disaster response, J&T Express engaged in various aid efforts across several countries. After a fire in Tai Po, Hong Kong, the company immediately donated HK$10 million and distributed 300 essential packages to the evacuation site.
Meanwhile, in responding to floods in Aceh Province, Indonesia, J&T Express Indonesia deployed dedicated flights to deliver 13 tonnes of aid to affected areas as part of efforts to support community recovery.
To mark its 10th anniversary, the company distributed free meals to more than 26,000 recipients at 26 locations nationwide and distributed 1,000 staple food packages in Padang, Makassar, Surabaya, Pontianak, and Jayapura.
Through the J&T Antar Inspirasi Programme, the company provided educational recognition to 10 selected students each worth IDR 100 million, trained more than 40 teachers in Central Sulawesi, and distributed more than 600 books and library management training at SDN 02 Mola Utara, Wakatobi.
Governance and Global Compliance
J&T Express strengthens global governance through a combination of centralised oversight at group level and implementation at subsidiary level. The framework covers anti-corruption, fair competition, supply chain compliance, and protection of trade secrets as the foundation of sustainable operations.
Throughout the reporting period, all directors and senior management participated in anti-money-laundering, counter-terrorism financing, and anti-corruption training with 100% participation. At the same time, integrity training also reached more than 89,000 employees, with compliance standards extended to the entire supply chain.
