Surabaya — Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya is targeting the admission of 7,160 new undergraduate and vocational programme students through the 2026 National Student Selection for New Student Admission (SNPMB) opened via national pathways and independent selection.

“A total of 7,160 places for bachelor’s degree and diploma 4 programmes,” said ITS Vice Rector I for Academic and Student Affairs Prof Nurul Widiastuti in Surabaya on Thursday.

She explained that for SNPMB 2026, ITS is opening three main selection pathways for bachelor’s and vocational programmes: Achievement-Based National Selection (SNBP), Test-Based National Selection (SNBT), and ITS independent selection.

“Registration for SMITS FLAT is scheduled to run from 21 April to 6 May 2026, whilst SMITS ACE will be opened from 12 May until 3 June 2026,” she said.

According to Nurul, SMITS FLAT is a pathway that provides wide opportunities for prospective students to be assessed based on academic and non-academic achievement as well as report card scores.

Meanwhile, SMITS ACE emphasises selection through computer-based written tests conducted offline at the ITS campus.

She added that of the total 7,160 places available for bachelor’s degree and applied bachelor’s programmes, 1,639 places were allocated through the SNBP pathway, 2,503 places through SNBT, and 3,018 places through independent selection.

Furthermore, ITS is also opening the International Undergraduate Programme (IUP) pathway with a capacity of 380 places divided into three selection cohorts.

The first cohort ran from 12 January to 25 February 2026, whilst the second cohort is scheduled for 1 April to 6 May 2026 and the third cohort from 3 June to 30 June 2026.

To expand access to higher education, ITS also provides various scholarship schemes for prospective students, including the Garuda Scholarship which facilitates joint degree and double degree programmes with overseas institutions through the IUP pathway.

Additionally, at the postgraduate level, several funding schemes are available, including the Patriot Scholarship, the Education Fund Management Institution (LPDP), Global Excellent Scholarship (GES), ITS Excellence Scholarship, ITS Fast-D Scholarship, Doctoral Education Scholarship for Indonesian Lecturers (PDDI), Predoctoral Scholarship, and Nitisastro Number Scholarship.

Through these various selection pathways and scholarship programmes, ITS seeks to expand access to inclusive higher education whilst supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on quality education.
