Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA) - State-owned enterprise PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero), or ITDC, is revitalising the Peninsula Island tourist area in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, to improve destination quality and boost tourism activity. “We are not only renewing infrastructure but also preparing more representative public spaces, supporting various tourism activities and strengthening the sustainability aspect,” said The Nusa Dua General Manager I Made Agus Dwiatmika in Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali, on Tuesday. He detailed that the area’s redevelopment, including access to the Water Blow within Peninsula Island, has reached 78.5 percent. The Water Blow is a natural attraction where crashing waves break against the rocks, creating a sensation of natural foam popular with tourists, including photography enthusiasts. Work is also being accelerated on road rejuvenation and layout, construction of a road to Nusa Dharma Island, waste installation works, drainage, rainwater infiltration facilities, and water tanks. Meanwhile, the redevelopment of the former road to the Peninsula has reached 98 percent, and grass planting in the amphitheatre area is 100 percent complete. Agus stated that the installation of andesite stone in the helipad area has also been finished. Currently, he continued, the redevelopment has entered its 25th week, with overall project progress reaching approximately 23 percent. According to him, once the area is redeveloped, various tourism activities can be intensified, which is expected to boost the economy, such as supporting MICE tourism, sports tourism, and other international agendas. Furthermore, he hopes the area will become an iconic public space while strengthening competitiveness and providing economic benefits to MSME players around the Nusa Dua tourism area. “This transformation, which is beginning to be visible, is part of a long-term investment,” Agus added.
