InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), in collaboration with Pullman Lombok Mandalika Beach Resort, held a Digital Marketing Workshop for village SMEs on Wednesday (10/6) in Dusun Bungawan Daya, Prabu Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). The Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) programme, attended by 28 SME owners from Kuta and Prabu villages, is part of ITDC’s commitment to enhancing the capacity of local entrepreneurs so they can seize economic opportunities arising from tourism development in The Mandalika.

The workshop participants are assisted SMEs operating in various sectors, including processed food products, coconut-based goods, and hydroponic farming. Some have already shown positive progress and are beginning to connect with the tourism ecosystem in The Mandalika area. Participants received training on the importance of digital content, marketing communication and branding strategies, product packaging development, and practical skills for creating promotional content to support more effective SME marketing.

In addition to the training, ITDC also handed over 10 waste disposal units to the Pokdarwis (Tourism Awareness Group) of Monkey Cave in Prabu Village. This assistance supports cleanliness management efforts and aims to enhance the quality of the Monkey Cave tourist destination, which is a natural and cultural attraction in Prabu Village.

General Manager of The Mandalika, Pari Wijaya, stated that tourism destination development must not only focus on infrastructure and attractions but also create economic benefits for the surrounding community. He noted that improving SME capacity is part of ensuring local communities grow alongside the area’s development. “Through this training, we hope business owners can strengthen product quality, improve digital marketing skills, and expand partnership access with tenants, hotels, restaurants, and other tourism businesses,” said Pari.
