ITC Depok opens for public

DEPOK: With only 100 occupied kiosks, the city's latest commercial center, the International Trade Center (ITC) Depok, opened to the public on Wednesday, KompasCyberMedia reported.

"We are ready to operate, it is up to the kiosk owners as to when they start opening theirs," said ITC Depok operational manager Liam Ning. On the day of the opening, only several kiosks had opened.

The center, located on Depok's main strip Jl. Margonda Raya, has more than 1,200 kiosks and the hypermarket Carrefour.

Its existence, alongside the city's bus station, has prompted worries that it would cause more congestion along the already busy road. -- JP
