Italian companies visit RI
JAKARTA: Twelve marble and granite machinery producers from Italy are in Indonesia until Friday to explore business opportunities.
The Italian Embassy in Jakarta said in a press statement that Indonesia had great potential for the marble and granite industry, and the Italian firms hoped to provide technology to local companies to develop this potential.
"The type and color of the (marble and granite) raw materials (in Indonesia) ... are much in demand by the international market," the statement said.
The visit is being organized by the Italian Trade Commission in Jakarta, in cooperation with the International Marble Institute (IS.I.M) and the Italian Association of Marble and Equipment Producers.
IS.I.M president Paolo Marone will give a presentation during a seminar on Thursday at the Mid Plaza building in Jakarta, titled Italian Technological Development in Machinery and Installations for Extracting and Processing Stone Materials. --JP
Syariah Mandiri issues bonds
JAKARTA: PT Bank Syariah Mandiri will issue five-year bonds with a total value of Rp 200 billion to strengthen its capital.
The bond issue will be underwritten by PT AAA Securities and PT Mandiri Sekuritas, according to a press statement.
The bonds' coupon rate is projected at between 12.875 percent and 13.375 percent, Bank Syariah Mandiri president director Nurdin Hasibuan said, adding that the coupon yields would be paid quarterly.
The bank is a unit of the country's largest bank, Bank Mandiri. -- JP
