ISWA President Visits SUS ENVIRONMENT, Discusses Global Waste Management Solutions to Support Sustainable Development
Shanghai, (ANTARA/PRNewswire)- President of the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), James Law, visited the headquarters of SUS ENVIRONMENT in Shanghai on 24 June 2026. During the visit, the two parties discussed various strategic issues, including global waste management trends, the development of the waste management sector in emerging markets, low-carbon technology innovations, international industry expansion, and the harmonisation of industry standards.
Law expressed his appreciation for SUS ENVIRONMENT’s achievements. According to him, the technological innovation and international expansion carried out by SUS in the waste-to-energy (WtE) sector have become a benchmark for waste management companies seeking to expand globally. The business model developed by SUS is also considered a reference for various countries in building sustainable waste management systems. He also encouraged young professionals in the environmental management industry to be more actively involved in international cooperation and exchanges, enabling them to broaden their global perspectives while demonstrating their innovation capacity and environmental responsibility to the world.
Since establishing a partnership in 2018, ISWA and SUS ENVIRONMENT have actively promoted various forms of international cooperation, including organising the Waste-to-Energy Beacon Conference, holding specialised technical webinars, introducing best practices in WtE through various industry media interviews, and voicing the importance of global waste management progress in multiple international forums.
This meeting marks a significant step in strengthening the strategic partnership between the two parties.
