Isuzu Utilises GIICMOVEC to Understand Consumer Desires
Jakarta (ANTARA) - At the Business to Business (B2B) exhibition Gaikindo Indonesia International Commercial Vehicle (GIICMOVEC) 2026, PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) participated to interact directly with prospective consumers in need of operational vehicles. In his address, President Director of PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia, Masayasu Hideshima, stated that GIICMOVEC represents an opportune moment for the company to understand consumer desires in seeking vehicles for their business operations in the country. “PT IAMI has a vision to provide the best ‘value’ for all stakeholders through trusted products and solutions. We bring all of this to GIICMOVEC 2026, and all Isuzu Partners can find all their reliable, innovative, and efficient business needs in one place,” Hideshima remarked in Jakarta on Wednesday. At this exhibition, PT IAMI also brought the Isuzu Traga AC for the first time. The presence of this commercial vehicle aims to provide comfort to its users. “Considering Indonesia as a tropical country with temperatures that can reach 35°C, which can disrupt driver comfort, the addition of an AC feature can be an appropriate solution,” he said. “Cool AC conditions can prevent drivers from heat stroke, which could reduce focus, cause dehydration, and affect health during travel,” he explained. This vehicle features dimensions of 4,520 mm in length, 1,705 mm in width, and 1,985 mm in height, with a small turning radius of just 4.5 metres, making the Traga agile for manoeuvring in urban areas and narrow roads. In terms of the engine, the Isuzu Traga uses a 2,499cc 4JA1 diesel engine producing 80 hp and 19.5 kgm of torque. The engine used has long been proven reliable, fuel-efficient, and easy to maintain. In Indonesia, this vehicle is available in two body colour options: black and white. This vehicle is concrete proof that PT IAMI is present and listens to consumer input regarding their business vehicle needs in the country.
