Isuzu Traga AC Can Change Drivers' Habit of Smoking in the Cabin

JAKARTA - PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) has officially launched the Traga AC pickup truck at the Giicomvec 2026 event on Wednesday (8/4/2026). Not only was it launched, but Isuzu also opened orders for the pickup equipped with AC at the event. On one hand, the habit of commercial vehicle drivers, such as those of pickup trucks, smoking inside the cabin remains widespread in Indonesia. For information, smoking in vehicles is regulated under Law No. 22 of 2009 on Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ), Article 238. Anton Rusli, Vice President Director of IAMI, stated that the presence of AC in the Traga pickup will indirectly encourage smoking drivers to change their behaviour. Considering Indonesia as a tropical country with weather that can disrupt driver comfort, the addition of an AC feature could be an appropriate solution. Regarding the price, it differs by Rp 9 million from the currently marketed Traga. “The Traga AC can already be ordered at all official Isuzu dealerships spread across various regions in Indonesia starting this Sunday,” said Anton.
