Isuzu to control 29 per cent of the commercial vehicle market share by 2025
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) controlled 29 per cent of the commercial vehicle market share throughout 2025, amid national economic fluctuations and increasing competition in the commercial vehicle segment.
“The market share in 2025, which reached 29 per cent, is proof of customer trust in Isuzu as a real partner in their business journey,” said President Director of PT IAMI, Masayasu Hideshima, at the “Isuzu Media Gathering: Kick Off 2026 & Iftar” event in Central Jakarta, Thursday (26/2).
The largest contributor to Isuzu’s sales in 2025 was the Isuzu TRAGA, which accounted for 47.5 per cent of total sales, followed by the Isuzu ELF with a contribution of 23.7 per cent and the Isuzu GIGA with a share of 18.2 per cent.
These three vehicle models are used to support the needs of various business sectors, including distribution and logistics.
In line with the increased operation of Isuzu vehicles, the company has increased its after-sales service support.
The number of Isuzu service centres has increased from 156 to 162 units, Isuzu partner workshops have increased from 165 to 175 units, and the network of spare parts stores has been expanded, increasing to 2,097 points in 2025 from 1,930 points in 2024.
“Full after-sales service support is an important part of ensuring that customer vehicles remain in prime condition and are ready to operate,” said Hideshima.
In addition to supplying the domestic market, the Isuzu Karawang Plant has exported more than 8,000 vehicle units to 25 countries in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
“With a disciplined strategy and a focus on customer needs, Isuzu has not only been able to survive but also maintain solid business performance,” he said.
Entering 2026, the company aims to achieve sustainable growth by increasing manufacturing productivity and strengthening strategies focused on meeting customer needs.
