Isuzu strengthens product and service strategy to face 2026 challenges
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Isuzu Astra Motor Indonesia (IAMI) is preparing to strengthen its business strategy to face the dynamics of the commercial vehicle market in 2026, amid slowing purchasing power and changing customer behaviour.
Vice President Director of PT IAMI, Anton Rusli, said the company is referring to several key focuses that are being implemented to maintain competitiveness in the face of economic instability.
“We are referring to four key points that we are working on, starting from product and quality fit, process, customer care, to proactive solution support,” said Anton at the Isuzu Media Gathering: Kick Off 2026 & Iftar in Central Jakarta, Thursday.
He explained that, in terms of product and quality fit, Isuzu will study the models that best suit market needs and improve the manufacturing side to be more productive and efficient.
“We will study which products are most suitable for the market and, of course, we will provide them to the market, including improving manufacturing at the factory to be more productive and efficient,” he said.
In addition to products, the company is also evaluating the vehicle purchasing process. Isuzu wants to ensure that customers have a fast and easy experience when transacting.
“We will also improve how customers see and buy Isuzu, ensuring that the process is fast and easy,” said Anton.
He added that strengthening relationships with customers is key because the majority of the commercial vehicle market is made up of the same players. Closeness to consumers is considered to facilitate the rapid fulfilment of business needs.
On the other hand, Isuzu emphasizes the importance of proactive after-sales support to keep vehicles operating optimally.
“The principle is that when people buy commercial vehicles, the most important thing is that the vehicles run. If they don’t run, they can’t make money,” said Anton.
Through these steps, PT IAMI aims to maintain competitiveness while adapting to customer demands that increasingly prioritize quality, ease of process, and operational certainty.
