ISS 2026 to Feature Speakers Including Ajax Amsterdam CEO and AFC Officials
The Indonesia Sports Summit (ISS) 2026 will feature a number of national and international sports figures. One of those scheduled to speak at the event, which will take place on 11–13 September 2026, comes from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam.
Deputy for Sports Industry Development at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Teuku Arlan Perkasa Lukman, said ISS 2026 will serve as a meeting point for various sports stakeholders, both domestic and international. The event will be held at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC) in Senayan, Jakarta.
According to Arlan, the speakers will not only come from Ajax Amsterdam but also from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) as well as a number of other sports and business figures.
“In general, ISS will present a sports infrastructure business forum. There will be Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir, CEO of Danantara Indonesia Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, the CEO of Ajax Amsterdam, and other speakers,” said Arlan.
The presence of an Ajax Amsterdam representative is one of the agendas attracting attention. In the forum, Ajax will share its experience in stadium management, including the Johan Cruyff Arena, as well as the football development system that has long been one of the strengths of the Amsterdam-based club.
In addition to figures from the international sports world, ISS 2026 will also feature a number of national figures. Among them are West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi and several other figures who will discuss the development of the sports industry and ecosystem in Indonesia.
Arlan explained that ISS 2026 will utilise several areas at JICC. Hall A will be used for hybrid race activities, Hall B will be an expo area filled with various interesting activities, including a Hyundai car pulling competition, while the Cendrawasih room will be used for forums and discussions.
The Ministry of Youth and Sports is targeting a significant increase in the number of ISS 2026 visitors compared to the previous edition. The committee is aiming for visitor numbers to double by presenting more activities and entertainment.
To attract public interest, the organisers have also prepared performances by a number of top artists. The concept is expected to make ISS not only a forum for the sports industry but also an event that can be enjoyed by the wider public.
