Israeli Weapons Factory for Iran War Burned in Czech Republic
Facilities linked to the Israeli arms giant, Elbit Systems, have been burned in the Czech Republic. An underground group has claimed responsibility, and authorities have launched an investigation.
According to Al Jazeera on Friday (20/3/2026), several buildings at the site, a joint operation involving a Czech company and Elbit Systems, were destroyed in an early morning attack local time.
Elbit Systems describes itself as a major supplier of land and air weapons used by the Israeli military in its wars, including in Gaza and Iran.
A group calling itself The Earthquake Faction stated that they carried out the attack, declaring on Telegram: “This location is the European operations centre of Israel’s largest weapons manufacturer. Now, that place is burning.”
“We are in the heart of the crime, surrounded by the stench of crime,” the group said, adding: “There is no time to beg international governments involved… we will take the necessary actions to extinguish their ways of killing.”
Czech police, cited by AFP, are investigating the fire as a potential terrorist attack, the interior minister said, after an anti-Israel group claimed responsibility.
“We are checking all available information. There is a possibility of connection to a terrorist attack,” Interior Minister Lubomir Metnar said at time X, after firefighters reported the blaze occurred in a warehouse in a business area.
