Israeli Strikes Kill Three, Including Child, in Gaza
Three Palestinian citizens, including a child, were killed and several others injured on Monday morning in an Israeli drone strike in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip. The casualties come as Israel intensified its attacks on the Gaza Strip throughout the weekend.
A WAFA correspondent reported that the drone targeted an area near the Wadi al-Salqa bridge on al-Baraka Street, killing three people—Ali Fayez Isbaitan, Hassan Salman al-Hanajra, and an eight-year-old child named Malik Wael Abu Shaweesh—and wounding others nearby.
Israeli occupation forces have continued to launch attacks on various areas of the Gaza Strip since Saturday, killing and injuring more Palestinians in strikes targeting refugee camps and residential areas.
These latest attacks occurred despite a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on 11 October 2025—an agreement Israel continues to violate through military operations, territorial expansion, and an ongoing blockade of the Gaza Strip.
In southern Gaza, a Palestinian was killed and several others were injured after an Israeli strike hit a tent sheltering displaced civilians in the Al-Mawasi area, west of Khan Yunis.
Separately, 13-year-old Elin Islam Al-Farra died from severe head injuries caused by shrapnel from Israeli artillery shells in a previous attack near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of the city.
Medical sources at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis stated that the body of Eileen Al-Farra arrived at the hospital after she succumbed to head injuries caused by shrapnel from Israeli artillery shells that struck near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of the city.
Another Palestinian was killed and four others were injured in an Israeli attack near the Tiberias Chalet area, northwest of Khan Yunis.
Medical sources also reported that an injured civilian arrived at the Nasser Medical Complex following an attack near the Abu Hamid roundabout, while an Israeli drone dropped a bomb in the Sheikh Nasser area as occupation forces fired on civilian homes east of the city.
These attacks bring the total number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since the ceasefire on 11 October last year to 1,048, while the number of wounded has exceeded 3,372, in addition to 786 bodies that have been recovered.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the death toll from the Israeli aggression in the territory since 7 October 2023 has risen to 73,054, with 173,480 others injured.
