Israeli Strikes Kill 14 in Lebanon During Ceasefire
At least 14 people were killed and dozens injured in a series of Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon. The deaths represent the latest deadly breach of the ongoing ceasefire agreement.
According to Anadolu Agency on Tuesday, 2 June 2026, Israeli strikes hit a building and car park at the Maarka intersection near Jabal Amel Hospital in Tyre, killing two people and injuring 23 others, the state news agency NNA reported.
The attack caused significant damage to the hospital, according to an Anadolu reporter.
One person was killed and another injured in an Israeli strike in the town of Chehabiyeh in the Tyre district, NNA said.
A drone strike hit a vehicle on the Zefta-Nabatieh road, killing the driver and injuring a nearby medical officer, the outlet reported.
Two more people died when an Israeli drone struck their vehicle in the southern town of Braiqaa, while a Syrian national was killed in a separate attack near Sheikh Ragheb Harb Hospital in Toul.
Five people were killed in overnight Israeli air strikes in the southern town of Kfar Sir, NNA reported. Another Israeli strike killed two in Zebdine, the same source said.
Israel has continued its attacks on Lebanon despite a ceasefire that took effect on 17 April and was extended for 45 days following US-mediated indirect talks.
According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, Israeli strikes since 2 March have killed more than 3,400 people nationwide.
