Gaza (ANTARA) - Israeli airstrikes on Wednesday night killed two Palestinians and injured several others in eastern Deir al-Balah, central Gaza, said Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

The hospital confirmed that the bodies of the two victims and several injured people arrived after Israeli strikes targeted a group of civilians in the Abu al-Ajin area, east of the city.

Since the ceasefire took effect on 10 October 2025 at 12:00, the occupation forces have killed 618 Palestinians and injured 1,663 others. During the same period, 726 bodies have been successfully evacuated.

Israel launched a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip since October 2023. The actions of the Zionist regime, backed by the United States, have killed 72,082 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 171,761 others.

More than 10,000 people are still missing. The victims are believed to have died buried under the rubble of their homes throughout Gaza.

The Israeli genocidal war has also forced nearly two million people to be displaced from throughout the Gaza Strip.

Most of them were forced to flee to the southern city of Rafah, which is densely populated near the border with Egypt. This is the largest mass exodus in Palestine since the Nakba in 1948.
