The conflict intensified, leading to an artillery attack targeting the Indonesian contingent’s location in the town of Adshit al-Qusyar in southern Lebanon. “It should be noted that the incident occurred amid mutual artillery exchanges, and the clarification process is still being conducted by UNIFIL,” Rico explained. Rico assured that TNI Headquarters would provide more complete and up-to-date information regarding the incident. “Further operational developments will be conveyed by TNI,” he said. Indonesia Condemns Israeli Attack. The incident that killed a UNIFIL peacekeeper has drawn strong condemnation from Indonesia. “Indonesia strongly condemns the incident and calls for a thorough and transparent investigation,” stated the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) via its X account @Kemlu_RI on Monday (30/3). The Government of the Republic of Indonesia extends its deepest condolences over the death of the TNI member serving with UNIFIL. Indonesia reiterates its condemnation of the Israeli attack in southern Lebanon. “Indonesia reiterates its condemnation of Israel’s attacks in southern Lebanon and calls on all parties to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon, to stop attacks on civilians and infrastructure, and to return to dialogue and diplomacy to prevent further escalation and advance peace,” Kemlu emphasised.
