Israeli Analysts Unanimously Acknowledge PM Netanyahu Has Been Humiliated by Donald Trump

Israeli analysts have harshly criticised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him a ‘liar’ and a complete failure. Analysts assess that US President Donald Trump has humiliated Netanyahu by excluding him from a deal with Iran to end the war, as reported by Turkey’s Anadolu news agency and cited by Middle East Monitor.

Netanyahu acknowledged that he was unaware of the details of the memorandum of understanding reached between Washington and Tehran to end the war launched by the US and Israel against Iran on 28 February. Netanyahu claimed he had saved Israelis from a nuclear threat by waging war against Iran, whilst admitting to differences of opinion with Trump.

Haaretz columnist Yossi Verter launched a scathing attack on Netanyahu in an article titled, ‘Without shame, the architect of failure (Netanyahu) claims he saved Israel from collective death. That is another lie among many lies.’ He wrote, ‘Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is at the peak of what every expert defines as a strategic failure for the State of Israel, and all he can say to his citizens is: “Iran will never have a nuclear weapon, as long as I am prime minister”.’

Netanyahu has been making that claim for 30 years. Yet at the same time, during his press conference on Monday, Netanyahu claimed Israel had nearly faced mass destruction.
