Israeli Air Strike Hits Home in Southern Lebanon, 7 Killed

An air strike by Israeli fighter jets on a residential building in Ansar, southern Lebanon, has resulted in seven deaths and three injuries. “Seven people were killed and three others were injured in the air strike that targeted a house on the outskirts of Ansar, near the village of Az-Zrariyeh. The house was completely destroyed,” a source from Lebanon’s emergency services told RIA Novosti on Saturday. Local rescue teams are continuing to clear the rubble and evacuate victims, both the deceased and the injured. The rescue operation involves emergency personnel from the Kashaf al-Risala al-Islamiya scout organisation, the Islamic Health Committee, and Lebanon’s civil defence agency. The injured have been taken to several hospitals in the city of Nabatieh for further treatment.
