Israel Threatens to Strike Iran Again with Greater Force

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has asserted that his country is ready to conduct further military operations against Iran if deemed necessary. Katz even confirmed that any subsequent strike would be carried out with significantly greater firepower.

The statement was made amid renewed tensions between the United States and Iran. The latest clashes have sparked international concern that the conflict could escalate once more, despite both nations having reached a ceasefire in April and agreeing to a cessation of hostilities in June.

During a military ceremony on Thursday (10/7) local time, Katz stated that the Israeli military is on full alert to resume operations should threats from Tehran re-emerge.

"The military is ready and on alert to continue the battle to regain air superiority and strike Iran again to eliminate the threat, even for a third time if necessary. If we must return, we will return with far greater force," Katz said, as quoted by Arab News.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who also attended the event, assessed that the two previous military operations had significantly weakened Iran’s capabilities. According to him, the conflict is not truly over.

"The Iranian axis is now weaker than before, while Israel is stronger than ever. We have proven that the reach of the Israeli Air Force can extend anywhere, from Yemen to Iran. But we must also acknowledge that this campaign is not yet finished," Netanyahu said.

The conflict has been ongoing since 28 February, when the United States and Israel launched airstrikes against Iran. The operation killed the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran along with several other senior officials.

The strike was Israel’s second military operation against Iran, following a 12-day war that erupted in June 2025.
