The Israeli military announced that a large-scale wave of attacks against Tehran has commenced. The Israeli military stated that further details of the large-scale attack wave would follow.

According to the AFP news agency on Thursday 12 March 2026, the announcement was made by Israel following Iran’s missile attack on Israeli territory. The missile attack was conducted by Iran in coordination with its Lebanese ally, Hizbullah.

“The IDF has launched a large-scale wave of attacks on Tehran. Further details will follow,” the Israeli military stated on its official Telegram channel.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guards had previously launched a fresh attack on Israeli territory. They stated they had conducted a joint air operation with Iran’s Lebanese ally, the Hizbullah group.

According to AFP, the attack occurred in the early hours of local time. In statements carried by the Fars and Tasnim news agencies, the Revolutionary Guards stated that the “joint and integrated operation” involved missile attacks by Iran conducted simultaneously with rocket and drone fire from Hizbullah.

The operation targeted more than 50 sites in Israeli territory. The targeted sites included Israeli military bases in Haifa, Tel Aviv, and Beersheba.

The Revolutionary Guards also targeted US military bases at Al-Kharj in Saudi Arabia and Al-Azraq in Jordan.

A warning message was issued in Saudi Arabia but no damage was reported, according to AFP correspondents. Jordan reported no attacks on its territory.

As is known, the current conflict in the Middle East does not only involve war between Iran, Israel and the United States. Israel and the Lebanese militant group Hizbullah are also engaged in mutual attacks.

The Israeli military announced it had launched a fresh wave of attacks on Lebanese territory. Israel stated the attack targeted Hizbullah group headquarters.

The latest Israeli attack on Lebanon was conducted on Wednesday 11 March local time. Israel described the assault as a large-scale wave of attacks.

Israel claimed the attack was aimed at destroying Hizbullah infrastructure in Dahiyeh, the southern suburb of the Lebanese capital, where the Iranian-backed group holds sway.
