Israel Responds to New US Strikes on Iran, Says It Is Ready to Join
A military spokesperson for Israel said the Zionist army is on high alert and ready to join the US military in a war against Iran as soon as it receives orders from the government. Citing Israeli news site Walla, preparations have reportedly been underway since the first day of the ceasefire, as Israel does not trust Iran’s promises and views them as mere manoeuvres.
“The Iranian leadership, drunk on delusions of victory, is not making the responsible calculations required of any government before going to war,” the report stated, noting that Israel expects President Donald Trump’s patience with Tehran to run out. “They act arrogantly, as if they have won the war, and try to blackmail the United States.”
Walla also reported that the Israeli military maintains close contact with US Central Command (CENTCOM) to discuss what they describe as a high probability of renewed war, including reviewing lessons from the two previous wars in June 2025 and February 2026. The most recent coordination meeting between the two commands was held last weekend in preparation for a scenario of continued confrontation.
Tensions between the US and Iran have flared again in the Middle East, with new strikes occurring just hours after Trump declared that the memorandum of understanding with Tehran, previously signed in June, was “over”. Speaking at a NATO summit in Turkey, Trump also threatened to hit Iran hard in another wave of attacks. Explosions were reported in Iranian cities along the Strait of Hormuz, including Bushehr, Chabahar, Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Jask, and Abu Musa Island, with one person killed in Iranshahr and three in Ahvaz. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had struck “critical infrastructure and facilities” at US bases in Kuwait and Bahrain, describing the attacks as the first phase of a “punitive response” to the latest US strikes on Iran.
