Israel Reported to be Preparing New Attacks Against Iran
Israel is reportedly preparing its latest military action against Iran as the Middle East war continues to drag on. This latest Israeli attack could be launched in coordination with its ally, the United States (US), or could be carried out independently.
According to reports from the prominent Israeli newspaper Hayom, as cited by the Middle East Monitor on Tuesday (6/10/2026), the Israeli military is preparing for a potential strike against Iran, while maintaining close intelligence and operational cooperation with the US military.
According to Hayom, Israeli forces are also preparing for the possibility of pre-emptive action or a response to an Iranian attack.
Hayom’s report also noted that it is unlikely an Israeli or US attack will occur before the mid-term elections are held in Washington this coming November.
Hayom added that Israel continues to view Iran’s nuclear programme as a matter of grave concern.
Separately, another Israeli news site, Walla, reported on Sunday (4/10) that the US is preparing to send additional troops and military aircraft to Israel in the coming weeks, amidst preparations for a possible escalation of conflict in the Middle East.
Citing unnamed security sources, Walla reported that approximately 3,000 US military personnel are currently deployed across various regions of Israel, including troops operating air defence systems, as well as pilots, support crews, and logistics personnel.
Walla’s report also mentioned that additional US troops and aircraft are expected to arrive in the next few weeks, as Washington strengthens its military presence in the region.
According to Walla, the Israeli military continues to prepare for a possible new confrontation with Iran or a rapid worsening of regional tensions, while maintaining close coordination with the US Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees military operations in the Middle East.
This report comes after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Sunday (4/10) that Tehran is prepared to continue pursuing a diplomatic path to achieve what he called a “just solution.”
Iran has proposed seven conditions regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to the US, via Qatari mediators, during a recent meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York at the end of September.
US President Donald Trump rejected the offer, stating that Washington cannot accept the conditions proposed by Tehran.
