Israel Once Again 'Possessed', Threatens to Return Iran to the Stone Age
Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has issued a provocative statement threatening to attack the Islamic Republic of Iran until it is returned to the “Stone Age” amid the United States’ (US) indefinite extension of a ceasefire suspension without a time limit.
The strong statement emerged after US President Donald Trump decided on Tuesday (21/04/2026) to extend the ceasefire with Tehran to provide time for potential diplomatic agreements, although the US naval blockade on Iranian ports remains in place.
Katz emphasised that Israel’s military is currently on full alert to continue military aggression against Tehran. Citing Russia Today, on Thursday (23/04/2026), Katz stated that his side is merely awaiting instructions from Washington to move and destroy the adversary’s vital infrastructure.
“Israel is ready to renew the war against Iran. We are awaiting the green light from the United States to complete the elimination of the Khamenei dynasty and return Iran to the Dark Ages and the Stone Age,” Katz said in his statement.
The destruction plan reportedly targets Iran’s main energy facilities and economic infrastructure to completely cripple the country. This attack is a continuation of the Israel-US military campaign, which on the first day killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was subsequently replaced by his son, Mojtaba Khamenei.
Washington’s active involvement in this conflict continues to spark debates within America, where several politicians accuse the White House of being deliberately “dragged” into the war due to the strong influence of the pro-Israel lobby. However, Trump firmly defends his military policy and continues to pressure Tehran with very serious threats.
The term “Stone Age” itself was first popularised by Trump in early April as a harsh warning if Tehran rejects US demands, including reopening the Strait of Hormuz and strict restrictions on nuclear activities. Trump warned that US power could cripple Iran in a short time.
“We will hit Iran very hard and can bring them back to the Stone Age in two to three weeks,” Trump said at that time in issuing the threat.
On the other hand, the Tehran government remains firm in rejecting the cessation of uranium enrichment, which they claim is for civilian and medical purposes. Iran’s Ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, emphasised that his country is prepared to face all possibilities, both through diplomatic channels and continued combat.
Jalali accused Washington of deliberately sabotaging peace efforts by withdrawing from the 2015 nuclear agreement and carrying out attacks while negotiations were still ongoing. In an interview published on Friday, Jalali conveyed his country’s position regarding the aggression.
“Tehran remains open to diplomacy as well as continued combat,” Jalali asserted firmly.
