Israel Launches Wide-Scale Attacks, Explosions Heard in Tehran
Israel says it has launched wide-scale attacks on targets in Tehran, Iran. Meanwhile an Iranian broadcaster reported explosions in the western part of the city. ‘The IDF (Israel Defence Forces) has begun a wave of wide-scale attacks against government targets in the capital of Iran,’ the Israeli military said, as reported by AFP on Saturday (7 March 2026). Earlier, the IDF said it had detected another round of Iranian missile fire heading towards Israel. Iran is known to have fired a volley of missiles and drones at Israel on Friday (6 March) local time. A series of explosions were heard in a commercial district in Tel Aviv following the launch of the Iranian missiles. The emergency service Magen David Adom said it had received no reports of fatalities after the attack. The military issued a statement saying that people were free to leave their shelters ‘in all parts of the country.’
