Three Palestinians from the same family were killed on Friday in an Israeli drone strike in the town of Al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources at Nasser Hospital confirmed receiving the bodies of the three Palestinians after Israeli forces targeted an area near the Al-Matahin junction. Local sources identified the three as members of the Abdeen family.

According to eyewitnesses and local sources cited by Quds News Network, the victims were two brothers and their cousin. They said an Israeli drone targeted the three while they were in front of their home.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the three victims were farmers and stated that they were targeted while gathered in Al-Qarara.

The killings took place amid a ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025 and amid continuing Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip.

Israeli attacks were also reported in other areas of the enclave on Friday.

In central Gaza, a Palestinian was wounded after Israeli military vehicles opened fire east of Deir al-Balah, according to medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

Israeli occupation forces simultaneously opened heavy fire south of Khan Yunis, while Israeli warships fired towards the city’s coastline. There were no reports of additional casualties for the time being.

These attacks followed artillery shelling, air strikes and gunfire by Israel in several areas of Gaza on Thursday.

The incidents also came after US President Donald Trump publicly called on Israel to halt its attacks in the territory.

In an interview with Fox News on 17 August, Trump stated that Israel “should not be carrying out attacks in Gaza.”

Israeli attacks have continued to kill and wound Palestinians despite the ceasefire agreement that came into force on 10 October 2025.

According to the latest data cited by Palestinian sources, violations committed by Israel since the agreement took effect have killed more than 1,300 Palestinians and wounded 4,336 others.

Rescue teams have also evacuated hundreds of bodies from beneath the rubble during the ceasefire period.

As of Wednesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza recorded the total death toll from Israel’s war in the territory since 7 October 2023 at around 73,438, while 174,447 other Palestinians have been wounded.
