Israel Kills Another Journalist: Al Jazeera Cameraman Dies in Fighter Jet Attack

Al Jazeera cameraman Ahmed Wishah has been killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. According to reports from Al Jazeera colleagues on the ground, Ahmed was one of two people martyred in the attack on Saturday. The incident also left at least one other Palestinian injured. In an official statement, Al Jazeera Media Network strongly condemned what it described as the ‘deliberate killing’ of its Al Jazeera Mubasher correspondent. The network added that Ahmed Wishah is the 12th Al Jazeera media worker to be killed in Gaza since the military offensive began in October 2023. ‘Al Jazeera once again calls on the international community and legal institutions to take immediate and practical steps to hold the Israeli officials involved in these heinous crimes accountable,’ the statement read. The strike on the Bureij camp brought the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks in Gaza on Saturday to ten. Among the other victims were four members of a family, including two children, whose home was destroyed in a strike on central Gaza City. A man was also reported killed in an attack in the north of Gaza City, while a woman died from Israeli gunfire in the Beit Lahia area of northern Gaza.
