Israel Escalates Deployment of Tanks to Arab Neighbour
An Israeli tank manoeuvres in Israeli territory near the Israel–Lebanon border in northern Israel on Tuesday, 10 March 2026, amid the ongoing US–Israel conflict with Iran. The Israeli military continues to increase troop deployment in the border region as offensive operations against the Hizbullah group intensify and tensions across the Middle East escalate.
Israel has also launched major operations against the Iran-backed Hizbullah group following attacks on Israeli territory. These attacks have triggered a significant escalation of the conflict along the border between the two sides.
The situation in Lebanon has deteriorated markedly due to the widening conflict in the region. Many residents have been forced to leave their homes because of ongoing attacks across various areas.
The United Nations refugee agency has stated that more than 667,000 people are now registered as displaced within Lebanon. This figure increased by approximately 100,000 people in just one day.
