Israel Claims It Has Dropped More Than 5,000 Rounds of Ammunition on Iran
Israel says its air force has dropped more than 5,000 rounds of ammunition on Iran since the operation began on Saturday, 4 March. In a post on X, the Israeli military said jets continued to deepen air superiority across Iran, with a particular focus on the Tehran region. The statement was accompanied by footage the army said showed strikes aimed at destroying what it called Iran’s government’s air defence system in the capital. The US–Israel strikes have killed at least 1,045 people, according to Iranian state media, while several schools and hospitals have also been hit. As the war continues, it is likely that there will be differences between Israel’s prerogatives and those of the United States. So far, twenty schools have been affected.
