Israel Attacks Beirut Airport Access Road, 3 Dead
Israel attacked several vehicles traveling along the road to Beirut Airport. As a result, three people were killed in the strike.
‘Dua serangan udara di jalan raya bandara menewaskan tiga orang dan melukai enam orang,’ the Lebanese Ministry of Health said, quoted by AFP, on Thursday (5/3/2026).
The Israeli military said it had targeted two people in the Beirut area, but provided no further details.
Israel issued a new evacuation order for the outskirts of Beirut on Thursday morning. They warned residents that they would strike targets they consider connected to Hizbullah.
The Tehran-backed militant group had previously vowed to continue fighting Israel, whose troops have entered several border towns and carried out air strikes around Lebanon.
Lebanon was drawn into the Middle East war on Monday (2/3) when Hizbullah attacked Israel in response to the death of Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during the weekend US-Israel attack.
The group intensified its strikes on Wednesday (4/3). They targeted positions into Israel up to Tel Aviv in at least 15 attacks.
