Isolated tribes need teachers

AMBON, Maluku: Isolated tribes in the Tobelo district, North
Maluku, need more elementary school teachers, Antara reported
yesterday.

An activist of a foundation for the development of isolated
tribes, Otha Soselisa, said that most of the elementary schools
in the areas have only one teacher each.

"We need more teachers for the subjects of the Indonesian
language and religion, two basic subjects, if we want to develop
them," she said. (swe)
