Ismuhadi questioned

JAKARTA (JP): City police questioned Tengku Ismuhadi on Thursday afternoon at city police headquarters in relation to Sunday's bomb blast at Atrium Plaza, Senen, in Central Jakarta.

Ismuhadi, who is now serving a life sentence for his role in last year's bombing of the Jakarta Stock Exchange, was grilled after police declared his wife, Aznani, the main suspect in the blast.

Police believed the car in which the explosives were planted, formerly belonged to Ismuhadi, who told Aznani to sell the car while behind bars at Cipinang Penitentiary in East Jakarta.

Police had planned to question Ismuhadi since Tuesday but it was not until Thursday that they obtained approval from prosecutors to take him to police headquarters.

None of the police officers however, were willing to comment on the questioning. (emf)
