The Indonesia Social Media Network (ISMN) has launched the website www.indonesiasocialmedianetwork.id as a centre for information and strengthening networks for owners of social media accounts or new media (homeless media) in Indonesia. The presence of this website represents a strategic step to connect, introduce, and strengthen the position of this social media community.

The ISMN website is designed as a shared space for managers of homeless media accounts to obtain the latest information on community developments, collaboration programmes, and various activities related to the social media community ecosystem.

In addition, this website also serves as a showcase to introduce various homeless media accounts from platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other digital platforms.

ISMN founder Arif Budianto stated that through this website, the public can get to know more closely the network of community-based social media accounts that have been actively disseminating local, regional information, and various community activities in their respective areas. The launch of the ISMN website is an effort to strengthen the position of homeless media as an important part of Indonesia’s digital information ecosystem.

“Homeless media plays a significant role in disseminating community- and region-based information. Through the ISMN website, we want to present a shared home that can connect social media account managers from various regions. We hope this network can strengthen collaborations, expand the reach of information, and enhance the professionalism of national community social media management,” said Arif.

He added that ISMN is open to all homeless media account managers from Sabang to Merauke to join via the link https://www.indonesiasocialmedianetwork.id/register. However, membership in this network is not intended for individual social media accounts.

“Currently, our largest network is in three major cities, namely Bandung, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. However, in terms of reach, we have connected with hundreds of homeless media accounts in 42 regions across Indonesia,” he added.

Forge collaborations

Furthermore, Arif conveyed that the ISMN website www.indonesiasocialmedianetwork.id also serves as a connector for stakeholders to collaborate with ISMN.

“We are very open to establishing cooperation with stakeholders to strengthen this social media ecosystem,” he added.

It is known that ISMN was born at the end of 2025. ISMN’s first programme was the ISMN Meet Up, which was successfully held in three major cities: Bandung, Semarang, and Yogyakarta. The event brought together 150 participants consisting of community social media account managers.

At the event, they discussed, shared experiences, and built collaborations in developing community-based digital content.

It is planned that ISMN Meet Up will continue to be held in various regions, synergising with more social media enthusiasts throughout Indonesia. ISMN will partner with social media account owners in the regions to hold ISMN events and build networks.

The ISMN activities are intended to improve literacy among homeless account owners, bring in expert speakers in their fields, while still featuring local creators.
