Islamic Unity Party Appreciates Prabowo's Commitment to Eradicating Corruption

The Islamic Unity Party (PUI) has expressed appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment to strengthening the anti-corruption agenda in the country. The government’s firm steps in pushing for law enforcement on several major cases are seen as a crucial momentum to create clean, high-integrity governance that benefits the people. PUI Chairman Raizal Arifin stated that eradicating corruption is not merely an administrative demand but a constitutional mandate and a moral obligation for state officials. He emphasized that this momentum must be utilized to build public trust through fair, professional, and impartial law enforcement. Deputy Chairman Irfan Ahmad Fauzi stressed that the public is placing high hopes on law enforcement agencies to work transparently and objectively. He highlighted that major corruption cases must be prioritized, including the alleged corruption in coal supply for power plants with state losses reaching IDR 5 trillion, and potential irregularities in the Free Nutritious Meals Program. Irfan also urged the thorough resolution of cases involving former high-ranking prosecutors and various hand-catching operations and regional head corruption cases currently being handled by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He noted that corruption remains a serious threat to national development, harming the state by trillions of rupiah, disrupting public services, and eroding public trust in state institutions. PUI declared its full support for the Indonesian National Police, the Attorney General’s Office, and the KPK to continue synergizing. Irfan emphasized that the anti-corruption drive must not stop at arresting field operatives but must dismantle entire networks, recover state losses, fix governance systems, and ensure such practices do not recur. Concluding his statement, Raizal Arifin invited all components of the nation, from religious leaders and educational institutions to civil society, to synergize in building a culture of integrity. He expressed optimism that with President Prabowo’s leadership and the support of all elements of the nation, the anti-corruption agenda can proceed more robustly as a foundation towards the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision.
