Islamic Boarding School Teacher in West Lombok Reported to Police for Alleged Sodomy of Students

A teacher at an Islamic boarding school (ponpes) in Gunungsari District, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has been reported to the police. The teacher, identified by the initials F, was reported due to allegations of sodomising his students.

The victim’s companion, Joko Jumadi, revealed that two children have been victimised so far. The case involving the boarding school teacher has been reported to the Mataram City Police (Polresta Matram).

“The process is currently ongoing at Polresta Mataram. The victims are male,” Joko stated at Polresta Mataram on Wednesday (30/09/2026).

The man, aged approximately 30, teaches at two locations, namely Ponpes L and Ponpes AH. F allegedly carried out his actions by manipulating and forcing the victims to comply with his demands.

“Because they are children, they are easily manipulated. He (the victim) was simply forced. Being children, they do not dare to refuse,” said Joko.

The Chairman of the Mataram Child Protection Agency (LPA) suspects that there are more than two victims, although only two have been accompanied to report the matter to the police.

“There are two victims currently with the police, but there are more than that. One of them is a person with a disability,” Joko added.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Kasatreskrim) of Polresta Mataram, AKP I Made Dharma Yulia Putra, has not yet commented on the case. “I will check first,” he replied.
