Islamic Boarding School Forum in Indramayu Calls for Qunut Nazilah and Support for Iran
INDRAMAYU – The conflict in the Middle East between Iran versus Israel and the United States continues to escalate. The Forum of Islamic Boarding Schools (FPP) in Indramayu Regency, West Java, has firmly declared full support for Iran in this conflict.
Azun Mauzun, Chairman of FPP in Indramayu Regency, stated that as a concrete step of spiritual support, FPP has called upon all pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) in Indramayu Regency to recite Qunut Nazilah during every obligatory prayer for Iran’s victory.
“We have also instructed students to practise Hizb Nashr to pray for the destruction of the opposing side,” Azun told Republika on Sunday (1 March 2026).
Azun expressed that FPP Indramayu strongly condemns the actions of the United States, Israel, and their allies. The institution under his leadership has also labelled these countries as war criminals and terrorists that pose the greatest threat to global order.
On the other hand, Azun acknowledged that his organisation hopes a peace agreement will be reached soon. However, he is convinced that absolute victory will belong to Iran if the war continues. “It is time for the destruction of the US and Israel,” Azun stated.
As is known, the conflict in the Middle East has intensified following mutual attacks between Iran versus Israel and the United States. In fact, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, was martyred as a result of a missile attack by the US and Israel on his workplace. Following Khamenei’s death, the Iranian Government announced a 40-day period of mourning and a week-long work suspension.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Iranian Army have, in their written statement, sworn to avenge Khamenei’s death.
