Islamic Boarding School Discards Teen's Diary Containing Allegations of Rape by Father

An Islamic boarding school (ponpes) in Grobogan discarded a notebook belonging to a teenage student who had written about being raped by her biological father over a period of 10 days. The notebook was collected by the school and read by a senior cleric (mbah kiai), who reportedly found the contents ‘indecent’ and ‘inappropriate’. Police confirmed the school admitted to throwing the book away after the cleric read it. The case came to light as police investigated the sexual assault allegations against the girl’s father.
