When I arrived in Indonesia I got very excited. It's a great
country. It's beautiful and has a wise leader. I had the chance
to visit most of the cities and towns. I usually observed many
things, mainly the practice of Islam wherever I went.
As an Arab Moslem I believe that religions do not teach myths,
indulge in worships and practice oppression. The Creator (Allah)
sent Prophets to inform human beings that He is the only God,
therefore we have to worship Him.
Despite the fact that Islam is a religion of mercy and peace
and teaches good manners, I found out that we are surrounded by
hatred. The enemies of God always give a bad impression about
Islam, usually by distorting facts. The most painful thing is
that some preachers have a lack of knowledge about Islamic
principles. So we are in the hands of animosity and ignorance.
Even the philosophy of money is corrupted by the influence of
capitalism and socialism theories. Money in Islam is not the
possessive of deprived people. The poor and orphans must take
their share whether we like it or not. Charity is one of the
great principles of Islam. We do not fear poverty, but we have to
fear God only.
