Is This the Case Prompting the Attorney General's Office to Raid BGN Offices?

As previously reported, the government evaluated the leadership of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) on Tuesday night, 2 June, resulting in the replacement of three officials: Dadan Hindayana, Lodewyk Pusung, and Sony Sonjaya. Following this, on Wednesday morning, 3 June, prosecutors from the Attorney General’s Office’s special crimes division visited the BGN offices in Central Jakarta. The Acting Head of the Legal Information Centre of the Attorney General’s Office, Mochamad Jeffry, confirmed the search.

Observations at the scene showed that the BGN office was under tight security, with employees moved outside the building to facilitate the search process. While the prosecution has kept details regarding the operation closely guarded, a source indicated that the raid pertains to widely circulated allegations concerning the illegal sale of nutrition service unit (SPPG) procurement points.

According to gathered information, the investigation originated from findings of irregularities within the SPPG procurement project, which allegedly involve several high-ranking BGN officials. Investigators are currently continuing their search to collect evidence, with reports suggesting that residences of related parties are also being targeted. There has been no official confirmation regarding the forced summoning of former BGN officials or other parties. The Attorney General’s Office is expected to provide an official statement regarding the details of the case and the office raid later this afternoon.
