JAKARTA – PT Folago Global Nusantara Tbk (IRSX) is expanding its artificial intelligence (AI) business through a strategic partnership with MiniMax, a Chinese AI technology company. The deal gives Folago the opportunity to develop AI-based content production and explore new revenue streams by distributing AI services in Indonesia.

Under the partnership, signed in Shanghai on 26 October 2026, Folago has been appointed MiniMax’s strategic partner and distributor in Indonesia. The agreement was signed by Folago President Director Subioto Jingga and MiniMax Head of B2B Business Hu WeiQi.

Folago will distribute MiniMax products, including AI tokens, and use its technology to support content production across the company’s ecosystem. The move is part of Folago’s efforts to expand its business at the intersection of technology, the creator economy and digital entertainment.

Folago President Director Subioto Jingga said the partnership was expected to broaden access to AI technology for creators, businesses and the Indonesian public.

“This partnership is an important step for Folago in bringing world-class AI technology to creators, businesses and the Indonesian public. We see a significant opportunity to widen access to AI through our role as an AI Token Factory in Indonesia,” Subioto said in a written statement on Monday (26 October 2026).

One focus of the partnership is using MiniMax technology to produce digital content, from micro-dramas and films to advertisements. Folago is targeting production capacity of up to 500 AI-based micro-drama titles a month.

Micro-dramas are vertical video series, with episodes lasting around one to three minutes. The format is gaining traction as consumption of video on mobile devices and digital platforms increases.

To support production, Folago can draw on MiniMax’s technology portfolio, including Hailuo for AI video generation, MiniMax Audio for voice and music synthesis, and language models to support content development.

The technology could make production more efficient in terms of both time and cost. However, the benefits will depend on how the technology is implemented, the quality of the output and the company’s ability to distribute content to audiences.

The content will be distributed through FolaPlay and various digital platforms in Indonesia and overseas. The partnership therefore focuses not only on using technology in production, but also on developing distribution channels for the resulting works.
