Irregular delivery of `Time'

From Kompas

I have been subscribing to Time for tens of years. In May 1993 I paid my subscription fee for the next three years, 1993-1996, to PT Gunung Agung, as the Time distributor.

The delivery used to be well done. But the delivery stopped without notice since I got No. 27 issue in July 1994. Finally in August after I contacted PT Gunung Agung five times, I was informed that PT Gunung Agung was no longer the distributor of Time. The new distributor was Indoprom. I tried to call Indoprom several times but I never got any answer. Their telephone lines (800 1936 and 809 1928) were always busy.

Unexpectedly, early in September 1994, I received seven copies of Time (No. 29 to No. 35) at the same time, nicely packed, bearing no identity and no address of the sender, and neither was my address written on the package. I felt that the next deliveries would be no problem. But I was wrong. I did not receive any copies until the end of September 1994 when they sent me four copies (No. 36 to No. 39). Then the deliveries were stopped again.

Early in October 1994 Indoprom promised to deliver the magazine regularly every week, but it proved to be a big lie.

I am writing this letter because I feel this is the only effective way of communicating with Indoprom since I have had great difficulty contacting the distributor through other means.
