IRGC: US Must Choose Impossible War or Disadvantageous Deal
Istanbul (ANTARA) - Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that US President Donald Trump must choose between an impossible war or a disadvantageous deal.
In a post on the US-owned social media platform X on Sunday, the IRGC’s intelligence department said Teheran is giving the US military a deadline to end the blockade on Iranian ports.
Iran also stated that Europe, China, and Russia are now increasingly critical of Washington’s policies.
“There is only one way to interpret this: Trump must choose between a military operation that is impossible to carry out or a bad deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran. The room for the US to make decisions is becoming increasingly narrow,” according to the IRGC.
Since 13 April, the United States has imposed a naval blockade targeting Iranian maritime traffic in those strategic waterways.
A two-week ceasefire was announced on 8 April through mediation by Pakistan, followed by direct talks in Islamabad on 11 April. However, no agreement was reached for a permanent ceasefire.
Trump then extended the ceasefire without setting a new deadline as requested by Pakistan.
