IRGC: 650 US Troops Killed in Iranian Retaliatory Attack
Tehran — The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said its counterstrike against what it termed the Zionist-Israeli-American occupiers has killed 680 enemy military personnel, of which 650 are said to be US personnel. IRGC Spokesman Brigadier General Ali Mohammad Naeini said that 650 US soldiers were killed or wounded within the first two days of the conflict, according to Middle East Monitor, on Wednesday (4/3/2026).
The Iran war began on Saturday (28/2/2026), when the US and its Zionist allies launched operations with the codes Epic Fury and Roaring Lion. Iran defended itself and countered with the operation al-Wa’d al-Sadiq-4, or The True Promises-4.
Using assault drones and various missiles, Iran attacked territory it regards as Zionist-occupied in the Palestinian lands. Iran also struck US military bases scattered across Gulf states. It also bombed the assets of US administration in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
In Tel Aviv, Iranian retaliation successfully targeted the office of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Zionist army headq uarters, and the defence ministry in Hakirya, Petah Tikva, extending to Haifa.
Meanwhile in Bahrain, Naeini said drones and missiles repeatedly hit the US Fifth Fleet bases. “And in one of those strikes, 160 Americans were killed or wounded,” Naeini said.
Iranian forces also briefly attacked the US Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group positioned about 250 km from the coast of Chabahar, Iran. Recently, Iran’s military sent explosive drones and missiles to the US Embassy complex in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The attack allegedly destroyed the US Foreign Intelligence Service (CIA) headquarters.
In Qatar, Iran’s retaliation targeted US assets, particularly fuel oil and LNG facilities. The attack forced Qatar to declare a state of emergency and halt offshore gas exploration that disrupted supplies to Europe.
The Iranian military also fully closed the Strait of Hormuz, the sea lane through which roughly half of the world’s oil supply moves from the Gulf region. The closure is already affecting global fuel supplies.
Meanwhile, Tehran-based Red Crescent records indicate Zionist-US aggression has caused over 1,000 deaths, mostly civilians, including dozens of schoolchildren whose deaths have gone viral worldwide.
